- About this scale
- HAMD-17 was originally a clinician-rated psychiatric instrument. In hospital practice, trained raters score it through interview and observation. Some items (slowed thinking or movement, restlessness, insight) were originally based on what the clinician saw. This online version keeps the scoring anchors and rewrites them for self-review; it does not replace a clinician rating.

- When you complete it online yourself, the score may not match a clinic rating. Use this only to track everyday mood changes. It does not replace a clinical diagnosis.
